Biography

Ada Nnabugwu is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner who provides care for adult patients at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. She received her Master of Science in nursing and Bachelor of Science in nursing from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. Ada also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/education from the University of Nigeria in Nsukka, Nigeria. She completed her clinical/internship at The VA Hospital in Albany, NY, and at an internal medicine practice in Troy, NY. Ada is a member of The Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State. She is fluent in English and Igbo and is particularly interested in disease prevention.

Ada’s devotion to her patients is evident in her favorite part of her job-being attentive to her patients and listening for the unspoken. She firmly believes in treating her patients as a whole, not just their symptoms. As a nurse practitioner, Ada is a staunch advocate for all her patients, providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Her care philosophy is simple yet profound-to treat her patients as she would like herself and her family to be treated.

Outside work, Ada is an avid volunteer at non-profit organizations and enjoys music and dancing, playing the drums, bowling, reading, and going for walks.
